Today's adventure took us to a
magical place called Milford Sound.
We took a little twin engine plane from
Queenstown and landed out in the Sound. The flight took us through the southern alps of the South Island. The sound is actually a fiord. After arriving, we took a 2 hour boat cruise along the cliffs of the sound....waterfalls... snow cap peaks...wild life The trip was unbelievable, and if you get a chance all must stop at Milford Sound. On our arrival back from the sound we did a short tour of an area near Queenstown called Arrowtown. Reminded me a lot of Truckee..We also went to the bridge where the first bungy jumps were made in the wor
ld...unfortunately it was closed.
